Opening ceremony of an exhibition, which is organised in collaboration with the National Gallery in Prague and its exhibition, Emperor Charles IV 1316–2016, organised in collaboration with the House of Bavarian History and the Centre for the History and Culture of East Central Europe at Leipzig University. The exhibition will seek to outline how Charles IV was perceived over the centuries following his death. In the long-term perspective, not only his statesman’s and political legacy will be reviewed, but also the historical and cultural ones.
